We have been eating salsa around here like it’s going out of style. But let’s be honest, that’s nothing new lol.

The difference lately though, is that I've been making my own salsa versus buying store-bought. And I’ve gotta say - I’m obsessed.

100% going to sound hippie AF right now - but I feel way more connected to my food when I make it myself. It’s a really good feeling. And I also love knowing exactly what’s going into my food. I don’t want to decode labels, you know?

I posted myself making this salsa on my IGTV a week or two ago - and someone commented that I should try roasting the veggies first. So I did - and WOW… holy yum! I included how to do that version in the recipe card - as well as just keeping it super simple and making the fresh version.

Also - the recipe calls for a pinch of sugar (1/2 teaspoon), someone thought I was crazy for doing that, but the sugar actually helps bring out the flavors of the other ingredients. It doesn’t make the taste sweet at all.

Another side note- this is the food processor I’ve been using for the last few months and I love it. It’s powerful and always gets the job done. And I’ve found it’s much more affordable than a lot of the other food processors that are the same size :)

Alright- my coffee is kicking in and I’m gonna go do chores and errands! If you have any questions feel free to message me or leave them in the comments section!
