Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Milk

Before diving into this post, I would just like to say that trying to make yellow liquid look pretty in a picture is not easy. *Not pictured: me, totally stressing out trying to get a glass of milk to be photogenic*

ANYWAY - what even is this yellow business?

It's turmeric milk! And it is going to be your new BFF. Guaranteed.

So here's the deal with turmeric powder - it's majorly potent.

It's not that it tastes bad, it's just kind of a BOOM-IN-YOUR-FACE flavor. To be honest, I often make this turmeric milk because it does a very good job of taking the sharpness out of the spice. Otherwise, it's pretty hard for me to enjoy.

If you've had turmeric before you probably (definitely) know what I'm talking about. If you haven't had it before, DON'T let this scare you.

Dave (my boyfriend) eats thai dishes with turmeric like it's nobody's business. So different people will have different feelings towards this spice!

Aside from mellowing out the flavor of turmeric, this milk is extremely comforting! I love to make it after my shower at night and enjoy it while catching up on very important work (AKA: cheesy television sitcoms).

It's creamy, rich, spicy, and warming.

It is definitely a great beverage for sipping on a cold night - and we've been getting lots of those here lately! *high fives*

Okay, so if you aren't familiar with turmeric and it's AH-MAZING health benefits, you're probably wondering why I keep going on about how potent/strong turmeric powder is, but yet I'm also providing you with a turmeric recipe and telling you to make it...

It's not because I'm crazy.

It's because turmeric is REALLY REALLY GOOD FOR YOU. And it deserves to be put in your body no matter how your taste buds feel.

I'm talking major anti-inflammatory properties, cancer prevention, immunity booster, weight management, prevents neurological diseases, improves digestion and liver function.

Hey, you can also smear it all over your face for even and glowing skin!

The reason I said this milk will become your BFF, is because you will start to feel the turmeric powder immediately. After just a few sips, you will get a natural buzz similar to that of drinking a cup of coffee. Yes, please!

If you continue to drink this milk daily, I promise that you will begin to notice a difference in energy, complexion, hair/nails... EVERYTHING. And these aren't even the major benefits I listed earlier!
