If you’re looking for an easy cold brew latte recipe that doesn’t require you to be a trained barista but also tastes like the delicious iced latte you get at your fave cafe - I gotchu!
I’m assuming you already love cold brew lattes and might already know how it’s made/don’t care, but jusssssttt in case let’s do a quick recap!
Cold brew coffee is made by soaking coffee beans in water for 12-14 hours, leaving you with a cold brew concentrate. (Sounds a little intense right? Luckily there are plenty of cold brew concentrate options that you can buy off the shelf/fridge at your local market). You then mix this concentrate with some milk of choice and that’s that!
There are claims that cold brew is less acidic than coffee that is brewed hot in a coffee machine. Gonna be completely honest, I haven’t done enough research on that to know if it’s true. LOL. Sorry fam.
But what I DO know, is that cold brew doesn’t hurt my stomach, and hot coffee does.
Which is why it’s now my go-to coffee choice. Plus its delicious! How’s that for science?
The general rule of thumb with cold brew is 1 part coffee, 3 parts water or milk.
Here is exactly how I make mine:
I fill a glass 3/4 full of ice. Then I take a 1/3 cup measuring scoop and fill it almost all the way with cold brew coffee concentrate. (I like strong coffee, keep this in mind). Then I put two drops of stevia, and fill the rest of the glass with soy (or almond) milk. I’d guess thats probably about a 3/4 cup of milk. Thats it!!
Grab your favorite reusable straw and you’re off. It’s so easy.
This is also much more budget friendly than buying a $5-$6 dollar coffee everyday. NOOO thank you.
Alright, I’m actually drinking a cold brew latte right now and it’s got me all kinds of productive. So I’m gonna run!
Cheers friend & chat soon,
cort.
