Oven Baked Pears with Pecans and Agave

I wanted to take just a few minutes to share this recipe, because it's ON. POINT.

These Oven Baked Pears only require four ingredients: pears, pecans, cinnamon and agave.

So simple yet so much flavor!

If you’re looking for a Thanksgiving dessert dish, I cannot recommend this one enough! It’s also perfect for Christmas dinner (or breakfast hehe). Your family and guests will be thrilled!

So here’s how you make Oven Baked Pears:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grab a beautiful baking dish. I am in love with my white baking dishes. They look amazing on the dinner table.

And then get to prepping your pears.

Any type of pear you like will do. I used a medley of pears from Trader Joe’s. Cut them in half and use a spoon to scoop out the seed center.

TIP: To get the pears to lay flat in your baking dish, cut a small slice off of the back of the pear.

Place the pears cut side up in the baking dish.

Next you will drizzle the pears with agave, sprinkle with cinnamon, and top them with chopped pecans. Pop the pears into the oven for 30 minutes and try to be patient while they cook ;)

Once the pears are done cooking, you will want to serve them immediately.

To really step up your game - serve with your favorite vanilla ice cream!

  • 4-6 pears, halved and seeds scooped out
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons agave nectar or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • vanilla ice cream, optional

instructions:

How to cook Oven Baked Pears with Pecans & Agave

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Cut pears in half and scoop out any seeds. 
  3. Place the pears into a baking dish. A little tip: cutting a little slice off the back of the pear will make them sit upright. 
  4. Sprinkle the pears with cinnamon and drizzle with agave or maple syrup. Top with chopped pecans. 
  5. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve immediately. Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired. 

NOTES:

This recipe can be halved or doubled.
